Rabbi Daniel Fox

Rabbi Daniel Fox joined DNG in the summer of 2018 as the rabbi of the congregation.  After five years at Beth Jacob Congregation in Oakland, California, Rabbi Fox and his wife Bryna decided to brave the elements and make Northbrook their new home.  Rabbi Fox is thrilled to be a part of the DNG community, where he continues to grow the educational and social programming.  He loves teaching both adults and children, and he helps ensure that DNG is always a place where Jews of all different ages, backgrounds, and interests feel comfortable and welcomed.

Rabbi Fox has the unique ability to relate to and inspire all segments of the community, from the youngest children through the youth and adolescents to the elder members, who enjoy and benefit from his d'rashot, classes, and visits.  Bryna makes herself available to members of the community for guidance and support, and proudly manages a home which is open to the community.

Aside from his rabbinical duties, Rabbi Fox teaches Chumash and Talmud at Ida Crown Jewish Academy to 9th, 10th, and 11th grade boys and girls.  He is excited by the daily opportunity to inspire high school students to learn about and appreciate their connection to Judaism.

Rabbi Fox graduated from Yeshiva University and received his ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary.  Before coming to DNG, Rabbi Fox served as associate rabbi at Beth Jacob Congregation in Oakland, California, and rabbinic intern at Congregation Keter Torah in his hometown of Teaneck, New Jersey.  Bryna is a graduate of Stern College and is a registered nurse.  Bryna and Rabbi Fox are the proud parents of seven young children: Rivka Neima, Shua, Nachi, Yisi, Dovid, Avi, and Eli.

Rabbi Fox is always happy to hear from you!  To reach out, please send a message to rabbifox@darcheinoamglenbrook.org.
